Mission
Established in 1998, CY2KR is a national, grassroots, all-volunteer membership organization dedicated to helping individuals / families / communities minimize the disruptions of the "Millennium Bug". Our primary goal is to help LOCAL groups get started, and then connect them to a National Y2K Community Network. The Y2K Forum provides the mechanism for exchanging ideas / experiences that convert to practical Action Plans. Although many citizens are now beginning to recognize the seriousness of the Y2K problem, there's not enough time to do the necessary "legwork" -- to research, evaluate, and implement an effective plan. That's where Citizens for Y2K Recovery can help you. We act as a national clearinghouse for the best thinking on how to make it happen at the local level.

Advisory Council
CY2KR is fortunate to have the able assistance of a "blue ribbon" panel of Y2K experts. The Council's primary function is to guide the organization's strategic mission.

Confidentiality
All personal information transmitted to CY2KR will be held in strict confidence. It is not sold, rented or exchanged.

Vendor Relationships
An effective Y2K preparedness plan must include a wide variety of products. However, it is CY2KR's policy to maintain an "arms length" position relative to all product providers.

Financial Support
Citizens for Y2K Recovery is totally dependent upon the revenue received from membership dues, seminars and published works. We have no ties (financial or otherwise) with any commercial or political entities.
